Welcome to my Photos
As an amateur photographer, my photos come straight from my heart and are of things I love and places visited. My favorites consist of interesting architecture, a whimsical moment, flowers and plants; and, of course, our family and friends. I also take photos of my husband's Intarsia projects, which I find very challenging, as it is more 'commercial' photography.
As a child, I would sit for hours on my grandmothers living room floor, with an album of family photos, studying each one. That must have been when I became interested in photography. The original photo album is long gone, but I lovingly placed each of the black and white 'photo memories' into another album.
When our children were young adults, I began to take photos with an artistic eye. When I learned of digital photography, I was ecstatic. No more paying for photos that were out of focus or didn't measure up to what I had intended to capture.
Most of the photos shown on this site were taken with any one of 4 digital cameras. Currently I am using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 and a Nikon D5000.
Enjoy your visit and please feel free to contact me.
